At Renume, the standard of the technology we use matters just as much as the treatments we offer. Every addition to our centre is considered not only for what it can do, but for the evidence behind it, its safety profile, manufacturing standards and the expertise required to use it responsibly.
That same standard extends to the people delivering your treatments. We invest continually in specialist education, professional training and a deeper understanding of the science behind the technologies we offer.
For us, providing advanced recovery and wellness isn't simply about having advanced equipment. It's about having the knowledge, standards and processes to use it well.
02 / HOW WE SELECT OUR TECHNOLOGY
What earns a place at Renume Wellness?
Every technology at Renume is carefully evaluated before becoming part of our treatment portfolio. We consider the quality of the evidence behind the modality, its safety profile, manufacturing and equipment standards, contraindications, operating requirements and where it can genuinely add value to the treatments we already offer.
We don't select technology simply because it's new, impressive or popular. It needs a clear purpose, appropriate safety credentials and reliable technical support, alongside a strong rationale for how and why we use it.
The goal isn't to offer the most technology. It's to offer the right technology, and to understand it properly.

The technologies used at Renume are selected with quality, safety and compliance in mind. We look beyond what a device promises to do, considering the standards behind its design and manufacture, the quality systems supporting its production and the certifications or conformity requirements relevant to each technology.

Transparency matters to us. If we say our equipment meets a standard, we want you to know what that standard actually means.
HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY
Our hyperbaric systems are supported by recognised pressure equipment, manufacturing and quality management standards. These cover areas including pressure vessel design and production, electrical and machinery safety, medical device quality management and the manufacture of our oxygen delivery equipment.

Pressure Equipment Directive, with Module H Full Quality Assurance covering the design and production of the relevant pressure equipment.

Chamber conformity and testing documentation covering applicable machinery and electrical safety requirements.

Becca Stewart
Head of Recovery Science & Therapeutic Technologies
Becca leads the scientific and technical development of Renume’s treatment offering, bringing specialist knowledge across recovery science, hyperbaric medicine and therapeutic technologies.
Her role focuses on evaluating emerging research and new technologies, developing Renume’s evidence-informed approach, and advancing the knowledge behind the treatments and technologies available within the centre.
Alongside her work with clients, Becca leads Renume’s ongoing scientific education and development, translating complex research into clear, responsible and practical understanding for both the team and the people we support.
With ambitions to pursue doctoral research within recovery science, Becca continues to develop her academic work alongside her role at Renume, with a particular interest in the relationship between therapeutic technologies, psychophysiology and human wellbeing.

Specialist training. Informed practice.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy requires a thorough understanding of pressure, oxygen safety, client suitability and chamber operation. At Renume, our approach is supported by specialist hyperbaric education alongside practical training in the safe operation of our systems.
Our training encompasses chamber operation, client screening and suitability, pressure and equalisation, oxygen safety, session monitoring and emergency procedures.
Renume's specialist hyperbaric education includes training through the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM) and the International Hyperbarics Association (IHA), alongside ongoing professional development in hyperbaric medicine, safety and operations.
06 / SAFETY STARTS BEFORE TREATMENT
Screened. Considered. Supported.
Safety begins before a session takes place. Our pre-treatment screening process helps us identify relevant health conditions, medications, contraindications and other factors that may affect whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
Where further information is needed, we'll ask. Where medical guidance is appropriate, we'll recommend seeking it before proceeding. And if we believe a treatment isn't suitable for you, we'll tell you.
Our priority isn't simply getting you onto a treatment. It's making sure the treatment you're considering is appropriate for you.
07 / APPROPRIATE APPLICATION
Appropriate always beats extreme.
More intensity, pressure or duration isn’t automatically better. Different technologies have different operating ranges, applications and safety considerations, and the maximum capability of a device isn’t necessarily the most appropriate way to use it.
At Renume, we look to the available evidence, established safety guidance, manufacturer recommendations and the intended application of each technology to inform how our equipment is used.
Our standard is appropriate application, not maximum output.
08 / EVIDENCE BEFORE PROMISES
Evidence should inform practice, not simply support a claim.
Research into recovery and wellness technologies continues to evolve, and the strength of evidence varies between modalities, applications and outcomes.
At Renume, we look beyond individual studies or headline claims. We consider the wider body of research, its quality, its limitations and how findings relate to the technologies we offer.
We communicate both the potential benefits and the limitations of the available evidence. Where research is emerging, mixed or limited, we believe in being clear about that too.
Our approach is simple: understand the evidence, respect its limitations and never promise what the research cannot support.

Expertise should never stand still.
Our knowledge continues to develop alongside the science. We invest in ongoing professional education, specialist training and certification to deepen our understanding of the technologies we offer and the evidence behind them.
We also maintain direct relationships with manufacturers, educators and industry specialists, giving our team access to technical guidance, continued learning and developments within the wider recovery and wellness field.
For us, training isn’t something completed once. It’s an ongoing part of maintaining the standards we expect at Renume.

Our equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer guidance, with servicing, testing and routine checks carried out as appropriate to each technology.
We maintain records across our equipment portfolio and take a proactive approach to ongoing maintenance, performance and safety.
Where manufacturer servicing or specialist technical support is required, we work directly with the relevant suppliers and technical teams.
The standard of our equipment matters long after the day it arrives at Renume.

Confidence built on more than a certificate.
Accreditations, certifications and recognised standards matter, but no single badge tells the whole story.
For us, high standards come from the combination of carefully selected technology, manufacturer quality and safety standards, specialist education, responsible screening, evidence-informed practice, ongoing training and continued equipment maintenance.
These aren't standards we display simply for reassurance. They influence how we choose our technology, how we operate it, how we communicate the evidence behind it and how we support the people who use it.
Because trust shouldn't come from what a centre claims. It should come from the standards behind what it does.
